Description
The DEUTSCH P26-24-31SE is a 31-way HDP20 plug connector-half kit built around the genuine HDP26-24-31SE housing. It supplies socket contacts for crimp termination and modified extra-thin-wall seals for a serviceable circular connection on compatible vehicle, agricultural, off-highway and industrial wiring.
This is one connector half, not a full mating pair. The matching receptacle must be ordered separately. Plug/receptacle describes the housing style; pin/socket describes the contact type.
Key Benefits
- Genuine TE Connectivity DEUTSCH housing and contacts
- Cable-side plug with quick-connect bayonet coupling
- Thermoplastic shell with silicone seals
- Rear-inserted contacts are serviceable with suitable removal tools
- Seal variant E – modified extra-thin-wall seals
Kit Components
- 1 × HDP26-24-31SE plug housing
- 36 × 0462-201-16141 size 16 nickel-plated solid socket contacts
- 10 × 114017 sealing blanks
- 1 × 0411-204-1605 size 16 contact removal tool
Supplied contact quantities include spares. The housing has 31 cavities; spare contacts do not increase its circuit count.
Specifications
- Kit SKU: P26-24-31SE
- Manufacturer housing part number: HDP26-24-31SE
- Series: DEUTSCH HDP20
- Housing style: Plug
- Contact type: Socket
- Shell size: 24
- Cavities: 31 (31 × size 16)
- Wire-seal code: E – modified extra-thin-wall seals
- Termination: crimp
- Operating temperature: −55°C to +125°C
- Environmental sealing requires correct wire insulation diameter, properly sealed unused cavities and a fully mated assembly
Contact Selection
- Size 16: 0462-201-16141, 16–20 AWG; rated up to 13 A per contact under the manufacturer’s specified conditions
Current ratings apply to individual contacts, not the combined connector. Conductor size, temperature, circuit loading and installation affect allowable current. The wire conductor must fit the contact and its insulation must fit the housing seal; these are separate checks.
Compatibility & Installation
Match the opposite housing style, shell size, cavity arrangement and complementary pin/socket contacts. Check keying, any modification suffix and the wire-seal requirements against the manufacturer documentation. This arrangement uses modified seals; do not apply the general unmodified seal range.
Crimp using tooling suitable for the supplied contacts, insert from the rear and check retention. Close unused cavities with the correct sealing blanks. Follow the HDP20 assembly instructions before mating and locking the bayonet coupling. Wire, crimping tools, backshells, dust caps and the mating connector half are not included. Mounting hardware is not included.
