Choosing an hour meter
Supply
Match the meter to the supply that runs while the machine is working: 12–24V DC from a vehicle or machine battery circuit, or 240V AC from mains-powered equipment. "AC or DC" meters accept either within their range.
Mounting
Flush mount meters sit in a panel cut-out. 2 or 3 hole mounts screw to a flat surface, and cup mounts suit round dash holes. Check the dimensions on each product page.
Analogue or digital
Analogue meters use a mechanical counter that needs no power to show the reading. Digital meters have an LCD and some can be reset or pre-set for service intervals.
