These terms and conditions (the Terms) apply to your use of www.alna.com.au (the Site) and to every order you place with Alna Commodities Pty. Ltd. (ALNA, we, us, our). Please read them before ordering. By placing an order you agree to these Terms.

1. About us

ALNA is an Australian online retailer and wholesaler of auto-electrical, safety lighting and industrial accessories, supplying workshops, fleets, resellers and DIY customers.

2. Using the Site

You may browse and buy as a guest, or create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that takes place under your account. Please tell us at [email protected] if you believe someone else has used it.

You agree not to use the Site to interfere with its operation or security, to place fraudulent or automated orders, or to extract data from it by automated means without our written permission.

We may suspend or close an account, or decline an order, where we reasonably believe it is being used fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.

3. Products, specifications and availability

We work hard to describe products accurately, but specifications, images and packaging can change without notice, and colours can appear differently on different screens. Product images are a guide.

All products are subject to availability. Stock levels shown on the Site are a guide and are not a guarantee that an item is available.

4. Prices, GST and quotations

  • All prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. A tax invoice is issued with each order.
  • Delivery charges are additional and are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Prices may change at any time. The price that applies to your order is the price shown at the time you place it.
  • Items marked Special Order, and items without a listed price, require a quotation. Contact [email protected].
  • Items marked Quotations Available may be eligible for bulk or reseller pricing. Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation, or for 30 days if no period is stated.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. Our confirmation email acknowledges that we have received your order; it is not acceptance of it. We accept your order when we dispatch the goods, and a contract is formed at that point.

Occasionally an item turns out to be mispriced, out of stock or otherwise unavailable after an order is placed. If that happens we will contact you, and you may choose to proceed at the correct price, substitute the item, or cancel for a full refund. We reserve the right to cancel any order before dispatch and refund you in full.

6. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through PayPal, which processes card, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal payments. Card details are entered directly with PayPal and are not stored on our website.

Goods remain our property until payment has been received in full.

7. Dispatch and delivery

  • We ship to addresses in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Dispatch is usually within 1 business day, unless a different dispatch time is shown on the product listing.
  • Special Order items usually take 2 to 3 weeks before dispatch. We recommend contacting us before placing a Special Order. If an expected delivery date changes, we will let you know.
  • Most orders are sent via Australia Post; some are sent by other carriers. Either way, you will be given a tracking number.
  • Delivery timeframes quoted by us or by a carrier are estimates. We are not responsible for carrier delays outside our control, but we will help you follow up a delayed or missing parcel. Contact [email protected].
  • Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
  • Deliveries outside Australia may attract import duties, taxes or customs charges. These are your responsibility and are not included in the price you pay us.
  • Please check your delivery address carefully. We cannot redirect a parcel once it has been dispatched, and redelivery of a parcel returned to us because of an incorrect address may incur a further charge.

8. Change of mind returns

If you change your mind, or are not satisfied with a purchase, return the goods within 30 days of receipt for a full refund. To qualify:

  • you must provide original proof of purchase; and
  • the goods must be in as-sold condition, meaning unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging with all accessories.

Please contact [email protected] before sending anything back so we can give you return instructions. Return postage for change of mind returns is at your cost. Refunds are made to the original payment method.

This satisfaction guarantee is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. We may update, change or suspend it from time to time.

Special Order items, and items made or sourced specifically to your requirements, may not be eligible for change of mind returns. We will tell you before you order if that applies.

9. Faulty goods and your Australian Consumer Law rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If something arrives damaged or faulty, contact [email protected] or [email protected] with your order number and photographs, and we will sort it out.

10. Manufacturer warranty

In addition to your Australian Consumer Law rights, many products carry a manufacturer warranty. The warranty period and its terms vary by manufacturer and are as stated on the product listing or in the documentation supplied with the goods. Some warranty claims need to be handled through the manufacturer; we will help you with that process.

11. Cancelling or changing an order

If you need to cancel or change an order, contact [email protected] as soon as possible. We can usually help if the order has not yet been dispatched. Once it has been dispatched, the returns process above applies.

12. Trade, wholesale and bulk supply

Trade rates, bulk pricing and repeat supply arrangements are available on request. Where we have agreed separate written terms with you for trade or wholesale supply, those terms prevail over these Terms to the extent of any inconsistency.

13. Intellectual property

The content on this Site, including text, images, layout, logos and product data, is owned by us or by our suppliers and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print it for your own use in dealing with us. You may not reproduce, republish or use it commercially without our written permission. Brand names and manufacturer trade marks remain the property of their owners.

14. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to clause 9:

  • our liability for any claim relating to goods we supply is limited, at our option, to replacing or repairing the goods, supplying equivalent goods, or refunding the price paid; and
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of use, or loss arising from the installation or use of goods in an application for which they are not suited.

You are responsible for satisfying yourself that a product is suitable for your intended application. If you are not sure, please ask [email protected] before ordering.

15. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information to process your orders, arrange delivery and provide support. We do not sell your personal information. Payment details are handled by PayPal and are not stored on our website.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version published on this page at the time you place it.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
