Description

The CODE 3 CD0012A is a programmable amber LED message board that lets vehicle operators show clear, legible warnings and instructions to approaching traffic — “SLOW DOWN”, “KEEP LEFT”, “CAUTION” or any custom text. It is part of the CODE 3 M5 message display range and is supplied as a complete standalone kit with the display, a touchscreen controller and a junction box for simplified wiring.

The display uses 10 mm high-contrast pixels behind an optical design that improves legibility and reduces sunlight washout, giving a stated viewing distance of up to 100 metres (328 ft). Up to 99 messages are created on a PC with the CODE 3 message programming software, copied to the controller by microSD card, and selected from the in-cab touchscreen. Auto text rotation lets the board be mounted in different orientations.

Built for life on the outside of a vehicle, the IP67-rated display runs on 10–30 VDC (12 V and 24 V systems) with protection against reverse polarity, transients and thermal overload, and is ECE R10 and RCM approved. It suits traffic-management and road-maintenance utes, incident-response vehicles, utility and construction fleets, and mobile work zones. Mounting bracket kits are available separately, and the board is also offered with red LEDs.
