Description
The Ionnic BMS-17 is a metal-bodied, single-pole battery master switch with an auxiliary contact, built for heavy vehicles, mobile plant and mine-site equipment. It carries 300A continuous and 1000A intermittent through silver alloy main contacts on 3/8″-24 studs, across 6 to 36 volt systems.
The 20A auxiliary contact switches with the main contacts, so it can drop an alternator field, shut down electronics in a controlled sequence, or signal the isolator position to a dash lamp or controller. The switch panel-mounts through a 19mm hole in panels up to 6.4mm thick, with two 10-32 fixing points.
The BMS-17 is the switch inside Ionnic’s MSU-04, MSU-05, MSU-08 and MSU-09 universal lockout kits. For a lockable installation, add the two-piece BMS-18 lockout (plain, red or yellow) or the hinged stainless LS11004 lockout, and mount it on a BMS-005BKT (with jump-start connector), BMS-006BKT or the twin BMS-007BKT bracket.
