Description
The Trumeter Advanced Panel Meter (APM) Power Meter is a multi-function power and energy meter for single-phase and three-phase electrical networks, combining voltage, current, power and energy measurement in one DIN 96×96mm panel-mount enclosure with a bright 40-segment bar graph and four 12mm LED digits.
Network configuration is fully selectable in the field — 1P2W (single-phase, 2-wire), 1P3W (single-phase, 3-wire/split-phase), 3P3W (three-phase, 3-wire, unbalanced or balanced load) or 3P4W (three-phase, 4-wire with neutral) — so one meter part number covers installations that would otherwise need several dedicated products, with true RMS sensing on every voltage and current input for accurate readings on non-linear and distorted loads.
Measured parameters include phase and line voltage, current, active power (kW), reactive power (kVAr), apparent power (kVA), power factor, frequency and total harmonic distortion (THD), together with cumulative active and reactive energy (kWh/kVArh) for sub-metering and energy-audit use. Modbus RTU communications is included as standard (not an optional extra as on other APM ranges), allowing the meter to be polled directly by a PLC, SCADA system or building management system, and colour-changing backlight plus free APM configuration software make commissioning and at-a-glance status simple.
Typical applications include main switchboard and distribution board monitoring, sub-metering of tenancies or individual circuits, industrial machinery and process line power auditing, generator and standby-supply monitoring, and any installation where three-phase load balance, power factor or energy consumption needs to be tracked and logged.
