Description
Tyree ABC111203 is a 8 B&S (8mm²) black battery and starter cable, made in Australia by Tyree Cable (formerly Tycab). Its 96 strands of 0.32mm oxygen-free plain annealed copper sit under V90 PVC insulation, and it is rated at 74A at 30°C, making it a dependable choice for low-voltage DC circuits up to 60V.
Typical applications include dual-battery and DC-DC charger wiring, accessory power feeds, fridge and lighting circuits, and earth straps. It is supplied cut to length from 500mm to 30m. Pair it with the matching red 8 B&S cable for the opposite side of the circuit.
The fine 96-strand construction keeps the cable flexible for routing through engine bays, chassis rails and battery boxes. The 0.9mm V90 PVC wall to AS/NZS 3808 is rated to 90°C and uses RoHS-compliant PVC. Conductor tolerances and copper type follow AS/NZS 1125 and AS/NZS 1574, and the cable meets SAE J1127. This is a DC cable and is not for mains connection.
