Description
The Ionnic BMS-20 is a compact, single-pole battery master switch for vehicles and equipment where a full-size isolator will not fit. It is rated for 1000A intermittent and 125A continuous across 6 to 36 volt systems, so the same part suits 12V and 24V installations, and it switches with a quarter turn of its removable wing knob.
The switch panel-mounts through a 19mm hole in panels up to 8.8mm thick, with M10 terminal studs for the battery and load cables. Its body is sealed to IP53 against dust and splashing water. Unlike the larger BMS-001 and BMS-002, the BMS-20 has no integrated lockout, so Ionnic offers a two-piece nylon lockout in red (BMS-3R) or yellow (BMS-3Y) that takes a padlock when the switch is off.
Typical uses are isolating the main battery on light trucks, trailers and agricultural machinery, and switching auxiliary or accessory batteries on service vehicles. A 60mm brass extension stud (BMS-ES) is available when heavy cable lugs need more clearance.
