Description
LV Automotive heat shrink is a flexible single wall polyolefin tube for insulating, protecting and colour coding electrical connections. This 25 mm black size comes as 4 m of tube in a lockable dispenser box, so you can cut exactly the length you need and keep the rest clean.
When heated, the tube shrinks at a 2:1 ratio, from 25 mm down to approximately 12.5 mm internal diameter, forming a tight, neat sleeve over the joint. It suits large cables, battery leads and protecting bundled wiring on vehicles, trailers, boats and machinery.
The tube is UL VW-1 and CSA rated flame retardant and self-extinguishing, with a 300 V maximum rating and an operating range of -55°C to 125°C. This is a single wall tube without an adhesive lining, so for joints that need to be sealed against water, choose the adhesive-lined dual wall heat shrink instead. Black is the usual choice for negative (−) and general-purpose leads.
