Description
The Cole Hersee 24024 is a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) battery master switch built as the Caterpillar OEM replacement for CAT part 7N0718. It disconnects the battery from the vehicle electrical system to help prevent tampering, theft, battery drain and electrical fires when machinery is parked, serviced or left unattended.
The switch is operated by a two-prong key, so power can only be restored by someone holding the key. Silver laminated contacts carry 125A continuously and 1000A intermittently, and the switch suits 6V to 36V systems.
An O-ring seal resists moisture and dirt, and an indexing pin aligns the switch and stops it rotating in the panel. The 3/4″-24 mounting stem suits panels from 6.5mm to 19mm thick, making it a direct fit for Caterpillar and other heavy-equipment dash and battery-box panels.
