Description
The Ionnic BMS-001 and BMS-002 are fixed-handle, single-pole battery master switches built for mobile plant, trucks and mine-site vehicles where the isolator has to survive pressure washing, vibration and chemical splash. The glass-filled nylon body and polymer rotary handle are environmentally sealed to IP67 and IP69K, and the switch is rated for 2000A intermittent and 250A continuous across 6 to 36 volt systems, so one part covers both 12V and 24V fleets.
Lockout is built into the handle. Padlock it in the OFF position with no separate bracket, which is why these two switches form the basis of Ionnic’s Universal Battery Lockout Kits. The colour tells the operator what the switch does at a glance: red handle for battery isolation, yellow handle for starter isolation. Both use tin-plated copper M10 studs and are supplied with a mounting gasket. Powder-coated mounting brackets and a 60mm brass extension stud are available separately when cable clearance is tight.
Fitted as a pair, BMS-001 and BMS-002 give a vehicle the battery-and-starter isolation most mine-site and quarry inductions require, while still allowing a technician to keep accessories live during servicing. Operating range is −50°C to 105°C, and the design minimises parasitic battery drain while the vehicle is parked.
