Choosing a round push button switch
Momentary or latching?
Momentary switches are only on while you hold them – horns, starters, pumps and winch controls. ON/OFF latching switches click on and stay on until pressed again – lights and accessories.
Measure the panel hole
Round switches are sized by the hole they fit: 16mm, 19mm or 22mm. Measure the hole in your dash or panel, or drill to suit the switch you choose.
Harness or switch only?
Switches listed "with harness" come with a pre-wired plug and colour-coded leads for a faster, neater install. Choose switch only if you are wiring to your own terminals.
Heavy duty and anti-vandal
The anti-vandal range has metal bodies for exposed or high-use panels, with higher current ratings. Check each listing for its rating and supply voltage.
Common questions
Does the LED ring light up when the switch is on?
On illuminated switches the LED ring shows the switch is active. Check each product's wiring details for how the LED is connected.
Can a push button switch run a heavy load?
For heavy loads, use the switch to trigger a relay and let the relay carry the current.
