Description
The ECCO EA5200 is a 97 dB(A) multi-frequency back-up alarm, often called a broadband or “squawk” alarm. It provides a solution to the noise pollution created by conventional tonal reversing alarms in confined or densely populated work areas, while keeping a safe warning signal for anyone in the danger zone of a reversing vehicle.
The EA5200 emits sound at multiple frequencies attenuated above 4000 Hz, so the warning is more directional and is perceived to dissipate more quickly than a pure-tone alarm. That makes it easier for people nearby to tell where the reversing vehicle is, and minimises disturbance to neighbours and other work crews.
It runs on 12–24 VDC, is sealed in epoxy against dust, moisture and vibration and uses the same compact 2-bolt footprint as ECCO’s 500 Series alarms. It is approved to SAE J994 Type C, CE, ECE R10 and AMECA, and ECCO backs it with a 5-year warranty.
